## Job Description The Bureau of Public Health Clinics (BPHC)\_Chest Clinics uses Radiology Technicians to perform core service functions at its facilities. To operate within law and provide proper guidance to lower-level technologists, a supervising technologist is assigned the task of managing staff and BPHC’s X-ray Suites. The BPHC-Chest Clinic’s primary function is to identify, diagnose and treat persons who have confirmed/suspected tuberculosis disease or latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI). Central to initial diagnosis of TB disease and infection is the use of chest radiographs (X-ray). The only persons authorized to do chest X-rays are licensed Radiology Technologists. Currently, there are four BPH chest clinics (three open). The Bureau of PHC seeks to hire a X Ray Tech II and this person will report to the X Ray Tech Supervisor. Duties will include but not be limited to: 1. Complete patients X-rays by correctly using the radiation equipment and associate peripherals. 2. Maintain the X-ray equipment and associated peripheral (DR Unit/computers) before and after usage. 3. Execute the proper Digital Radiography (DR) and Synapse/RIS protocols. 4. As necessary supervises and provides trainings to lower level and per diem staff. 5. Manage X-Ray unit inventory onsite to ensure the adequate supplies are on site at all times. 6. Responsible for QA/QC activities at assigned sites. 7. Complete all required annual customer service training in designated timelines. 8. Make decisions that promotes public health and support the agency's mission.
