Come join us at People Creating Success and empower, encourage passions and be a positive impact in other people’s lives as a Direct Support Professional in our supported living, and independent living service programs for adults with developmental disabilities! ### Employment Information - Location: Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Conejo Valley, & Surrounding Areas - Full & Part-Time: $20 / hour - Mileage reimbursement - $10/month cell phone stipend - Flexible Shifts: Weekday & Weekends, Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, and overnight shifts ### Benefits - Health care benefits and PTO available if you transition to full time employment - Discounts on Pet Insurance - Cal-Savers retirement plan ### Your Responsibilities - Assist participants with living independently - Support participants with daily living skills such as cleaning, cooking, budget management, and light household duties - Assist with traveling to doctors appointments - Following care plans and helping participants achieve their personal goals - Encourage healthy habits, studies, hobbies, and social activities - Assist with personal care such as medication support, hygiene and bathing (lifting / transferring may be required) - Collaborate Person-Centered Care planning with participant, staff and management - Document shift and communication logs ### Who We’re Looking For - Someone who is compassionate with a person-centered mindset - Someone who has a warm, respectful, and professional demeanor - Someone who is capable of communication with dignity and respect, especially during challenging moments - A valid driver’s license - Responsible, and can document goal progress tracking with detail - DSP 1 & 2 certification (preferred, applicants who are not yet certified can take advantage of our internal certification programs) - CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if applicants are not certified or need to be recertified) - Weekend Availability (Is a plus but not required) ### Who We Are People Creating Success (PCS) is a Californian leader in providing services for adults with developmental disabilities for over 20 years.
