Marine Superintendent

1. Direct the safe and efficient marine operations of assigned product tankers. 2. Strengthen vessel compliance with health, safety, environmental and operational requirements through the Safety Management System. 3. Coordinate statutory and management-system audits covering ISM, ISPS and MLC requirements. 4. Organise vetting inspections and manage vessel submissions through the OCIMF SIRE platform. 5. Evaluate navigational performance by reviewing passage plans and carrying out navigation audits. 6. Maintain compliance with the expectations of terminals, charterers, operators and oil majors. 7. Liaise with Flag State, Port State, classification bodies and recognised organisations on marine compliance matters. 8. Keep vessel particulars and inspection information current within Q88 and HVPQ databases. 9. Review regulatory developments and update the SMS to reflect new maritime requirements and industry practices. 10. Guide vessel crews through training, competency development, disciplinary support and emergency-response activities. ### Requirements 1. Certificate of Competency Class 1 or 2, or an equivalent recognised marine qualification. 2. Seagoing experience as a Master, or at least two years of relevant shore-based experience managing safety, health, environmental and regulatory compliance for product or chemical tankers. 3. Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, Flag State requirements, Port State controls and tanker-vetting standards. 4. Proven capability in marine audits, navigation assurance, crew development and emergency-response coordination. 5.
