The CMA works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse and supports the care team in maintaining a safe, effective, and person-centered medication management process. **Essential Responsibilities as a CMA** ✔ Administer non-parenteral medications (oral, topical, inhalation, and mucosal) as delegated by a licensed nurse ✔ Document medication administration accurately and promptly ✔ Observe residents for adverse reactions or side effects and immediately report findings to a licensed nurse ✔ Adhere to the “Five Rights” of medication administration ✔ Assist residents with ADLs when not administering medications ✔ Maintain medication security and proper storage procedures ✔ Participate in shift reports and interdisciplinary communication ✔ Comply with infection control, safety, and resident rights standards ✔ Support Resthaven’s mission, values, and standards of excellence ✔ Learn and know individualized care plans for residents and provide services to resident according to care plan. ✔ Aide in total care of grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, turning, repositioning, or other needs. ✔ Lift, move, and transport residents. ✔ Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services. ✔ Clean and sanitize workrooms, equipment, and resident units. ✔ Ensure compliance with established infection control procedures. ✔ Observe, chart, and report changes in resident condition or behavior to appropriate licensed nursing personnel. ✔ Answer resident’s requests for service promptly. ✔ Assist with various tasks including vital signs, resident’s weights, applying creams/ointments, collecting specimens, etc. ✔ Float between all units depending on the need. ✔ Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned. **Education, Training, Experience** ✔ High school graduate or successful completion of GED. ✔ Must have w…
