As part of the Balls Food Stores family, we offer the stability of a locally owned company with deep community roots.rnIf you thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and enjoy making someone's day a little sweeter, you'll fit right in.rnKey Responsibilities & Duties:rnrnSupport exceptional guest hospitality by providing friendly service, maintaining product presentation and department standards, and completing daily tasks that contribute to efficient store operations and sales growthrnDeliver friendly, helpful, and respectful service to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat businessrnPackage, label, stock, and display bakery products while maintaining quality, freshness, and food safety standardsrnPrepare and bake items such as but not limited to donuts, pastries, and cookies according to production schedules and standardsrnMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in alignment with sanitation and food safety guidelinesrnAssist guests with product selection, recommendations, allergen information, and special ordersrnStock, rotate, and merchandise products using FIFO methods to minimize waste and maintain presentationrnOperate POS systems, scales, and related equipment accurately to support efficient transactionsrnMonitor inventory levels and communicate product needs, shortages, or quality concernsrnCollaborate with teammates across departments to support store operations and a positive team environmentrnFollow company policies, safety standards, and expectations, including participation in trainings and ongoing developmentrnRemain productive during slower periods by cleaning, restocking, or supporting other areas of the storernrnMinimum Qualifications:rnrnRequired: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experiencernRequired: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysrnPreferred: Experience in grocery, retail, or food service environmentsrnPreferred: Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (certification a plus)rnPreferred: Experience with food preparation, baking, or kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, slicers)
