Our Non-CDL Yard Jockey's make $24.36/HR** **Schedule:** Sunday to Thursday, with start times between 5PM and 7PM - work until finish. **US Foods** is one of the largest food distributors with a culture and history of promoting from within, excellent training programs and a continuous improvement focus. **Main Ingredients of the Job** - Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments - Keep assigned equipment coupled - Move trailers between buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse Supervisor - Load, unload or merge loads between environments - Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers - Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets - Place backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouse - Make sure all equipment is paired and ready for next day's deliveries. - Work with mechanics nightly - Must attend all required company meetings. - All other duties as assigned. **Physical Requirements** - Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required - Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions **What You Bring to the Table** - Must be at least 21 years of age - Must have valid driver's license issued by state of residence - Minimum of six months Non-CDL commercial driving experience preferred - Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations - Must be able to pass DOT physical. - Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records. **Why US Foods** US Foods*®* helps our customers *Make It*, with products and services that shape the communities where we live and work. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $21 and $26 per hour. As applicable, this role will also receive: overtime compensation.
