The Rental Associate is responsible for coordinating and maintaining all activities of the rental department. Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following tasks with little or no supervision. **Responsibilities:** - Build and maintain customer relationships. - Answer incoming phone calls and provide rental rates and quotes. - Check rentals in and out each day and maintain contract files and rental reservations. - Write rental contracts on a PC program. - Schedule pick-up and/or delivery of rental equipment and load/unload equipment. **Qualifications:** - Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including nights and weekends. - Superior organizational skills with attention to detail. - Strong computer skills and ability to learn computer-based concepts quickly. - Capable of handling multiple tasks at one time. - Good driving record, some delivery and pick-ups - Engage in discussions with customers related to the proper equipment based on customers’ needs. - Knowledge of, or be able to learn about all rental equipment, including operation, application, capabilities, and limitations. - Knowledge of routine maintenance and troubleshooting requirements of all rental equipment. - Aptitude/general knowledge of small engines. - Ability to perform light tune-ups, oil changes, and small parts replacement on rental equipment.
