They will monitor hour by hour performance, adjust staffing as needed, and provide feedback to colleagues on operational processes. Perform other duties as assigned. *Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. Information regarding hours per week needed for benefit eligibility purposes can be found* [*here.*](https://employeeconnection.net/CareerSiteMedia/2024_2025_Hourly_BAAG_Macys_Bloomingdales.pdf) **What You Will Do** - Conduct daily meetings to discuss the business, priorities, and transition to / from next shift. - Enlist colleagues to offer suggestions for process/culture improvement and champion their cause. - Ensures colleagues are trained, cross-trained and/or certified in all operational areas. Recognizes training deficiencies works in partnership with Core Trainer and Operations Manager to retrain and address issues. - Ensures KPIs related to merchandise movement, service levels, accuracy and productivity standards are achieved. Ensures colleagues are working toward continuous improvement goals and objectives. - In partnership with Core Trainer, participate in new hire on-boarding process, including facility tours and orientation. - Maintains a clean and organized workplace and work to ensure the personal safety of all colleagues. - Practices open and continuous communication; values keeping others well informed; presents written and verbal ideas and feedback in easily understood ways. - Provides guidance to daily operations activities to ensure a high degree of coordination and cooperation between different areas. - Provides hands-on direction to colleagues for the operation of the fulfillment center. - Recognizes and celebrates individual and team performance with positive reinforcement. - Responsible for maintaining the hourly process board to drive performance within the process path. Adjust staffing to close performance gaps exposed through process board updates. - Responsible for having influential conversations with colleagues that are off standard to the defined quick reference guide methodology to support the development of the team’s skills. - Responsible for communicating the conversations with the Operations Manager. - Achieve daily department plans established by the Operations Manager. Balance freight flow, validate colleagues time spent in function, monitor hour by hour performance and adjust staffing. - Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities. - Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality. **Skills You Will Need** **Communication:** Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear instructions, facilitate teamwork, and maintain open dialogue with colleagues. **Training and Development:** Capacity to conduct operational training sessions, cross-train colleagues, and support the ongoing development of the overall team. **Organization and Time Management:** Skill in coordinating daily operations, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and prioritizing tasks to meet productivity standards. **Problem-solving:** Ability to identify issues, analyze situations, and implem…
