***POSITION TO START JANUARY 4, 2027*** The primary functions of this position are to exercise general responsibility, directly or indirectly, for the management and control of all financial, accounting, and auxiliary services of the college to include the comptroller's office, student financial services, procurement, financial aid, and bookstore. It is also responsible for all financial reporting, and maintenance of college property inventories. Opportunities to volunteer for committees to help in your professional growth! **ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:** Provides leadership in the business, financial, procurement, financial aid, and auxiliary service areas of the college Coordinates development and implementation of, and compliance with policies, processes, and procedures designed to ensure sound business practices and the safeguarding of college assets Participates in the collaborative budgeting process including compilation of the final operating budget for submission to the district board of trustees and the Florida Department of Education Reviews all budgets and provides management assistance to other budget managers Assists other college staff and faculty in allocating and managing resources to facilitate achievement of the institution's goals and objectives Ensures appropriate management of and accounting for all college funds Coordinates preparation of all financial reporting including, but not limited to, the annual financial report, the annual budget, and any other information as requested by the board of trustees, regulatory agencies, and college staff Maintains current and accurate inventory of all college assets Participates in strategic and departmental planning activities with other academic and administrative staff Participates in various action teams and committees as needed Coordinates and oversees accounting for construction projects Assists the president and other college staff on any issues or projects as needed Stays abreast of all external factors that might also impact the college's ability to address the needs of the service district Performs other duties as required **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:** Knowledge of accounting and finance principles Knowledge of college policies and procedures Skills in excellent organizational abilities to effectively manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines Skills in intermediate computer skills including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite Skills in advanced verbal and written communication to include face-to-face interactions, impromptu speaking, telephone calls, emails, letter/memo writing, and other official correspondence Skills in strong interpersonal abilities including professionalism, initiative, patience, and attention to detail Ability to start, stop, and resume tasks despite interruptions Ability to work with a dynamic and diverse group of faculty, staff, and students Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to exercise judgment and make effective decisions Ability to inspire and guide others to accomplish their best **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES:** This position directly, and indirectly, supervises approximate 50 with varying degrees of education, experience and skill level.
