SunTran is a great place to work! **Must have a CDL A or B with a passenger endorsement** **Benefits:** - **Part Time 25-30 hours weekly** - **Paid vacation, sick leave and holidays.** - **Company medical, dental and vision plan for you and your family available.** - **Company pension plan and other benefits** ## Requirements **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** - Safely operate all models of transit buses. - Transport customers and assists them in making important travel decisions. - Maintain a clean and professional demeanor and appearance. - Support customers with travel related questions and issues. - Follow an assigned route, collect and report passenger fares and ridership in an accurate, honest manner. - Assist customers using wheelchairs or other mobility devices. - Communicate with team members, complete written reports and forms. - Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and guidelines. - Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, noting any mechanical failures on an Operator Daily Report Sheet/Bus Log Sheet. - Adhere to fixed route procedures, including making verbal announcement of major intersections along the designated route. - Other duties as assigned. **QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL SET AND EXPERIENCE** - High school diploma or equivalent preferred - Excellent customer service experience - Excellent driving record, must have a CDL A or B, Airbrakes & Passenger Endorsement - Availability to work varying shifts, hours, days, and locations. - Must be able to pass annual physical examination and alcohol/drug test. - Must be knowledgeable of the Ocala street network. - Must maintain at least a satisfactory level on work performance evaluations. Should have a special sensitivity for the needs of the transit dependent, elderly and disabled. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS** Sitting, walking, standing, bending neck (up and down), twisting neck (side to side), twisting and bending waist (forward or sideways), squatting (similar to the bowling position), climbing, kneeling (to bend on one knee), simple grasping, controlled grasping, power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling, reaching above/below/at shoulder height and lifting/carrying 0 - 30 pounds. **SALARY STRUCTURE** Bus Operator (With CDL) **$17.00** Apply online at https://www.ratpdevusa.com/careers Online applications must include past work history.
