Potential for hybrid.** **Responsibilities** The **Mental Health Therapists** provides therapeutic services to clients dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress and relationship difficulties. The therapist assesses client needs, develops individualized treatment plans, and implements therapeutic interventions to help clients achieve emotional well-being and personal growth. Additional responsibilities include: - Assess the impact of psychosocial stressors, supporting clients in developing a coherent narrative related to their experience of crisis/distress. - Use diagnostic tools such as interviews, observations, and tests to evaluate clients’ conditions. - Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their needs. - Set specific therapeutic goals and objectives to help clients make progress. - Utilize evidence-based therapy techniques and strategies. - Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions to support clients through their mental health challenges. - Respond to clients in crisis, offering immediate support and guidance to de-escalate situations and develop coping strategies. - Coordinate with other professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, social workers, and emergency personnel, when necessary. - Assist clients in accessing additional mental health resources, such as support groups, psychiatric care, or community services. - Advocate for clients within the healthcare system or other relevant institutions. - Maintain accurate and confidential records of all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress reports. - Prepare necessary reports for case reviews, insurance billing, or other administrative purposes. - Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and preventative care. - Promote mental health awareness within the community through workshops, outreach programs, or training. - Regularly review clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. - Monitor clients for any changes in behavior, mood, or symptoms that may require additional interventions. - Other duties as assigned. **Requirements** **Education:** - Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health counseling or related field required. **Experience:** - Experience in a clinical or therapeutic setting, particularly related to serving people with disorders of mental health. **Knowledge/Skills:** - Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills. - Proficiency in delivering various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral based therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or motivational interviewing. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. - Knowledge of ethical and legal standards governing mental health practice. - Empathy and the ability to build rapport with clients. **Licenses/Certifications:** - Registration with the state as a candidate for the LISW or LMHC required. - Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor or Marital and Family Therapist pursuant to 645-Chapter 31 (LMHC) or Licensed as a Master or Independent Social Worker pursuant to 645-Chapter 280 (LMSW, LISW) preferred. **Benefits** **Competitive benefits package for full-time employees working 30+ hours a week:** - Health insurance (up to 79% employer paid) - Dental insurance - Vision insurance - 401(k) with profit sharing and employer match - Paid time off (accrue up to 80 hours during first year of employment; increases based on tenure with agency) - 10 paid holidays - 80 hours sick time - 2 wellness days - Staff development and training - Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility for federal student loans - Employer paid CEU's through Relias - PerkSpot- employee discount program - Employee assistance program - Advancement opportunities **About the Organization** Hillcrest is a non-profit organization tha…
