**SPECIAL PROGRAMS CLERK (QUEER RESOURCE CENTER)** Click here for the full [Job Description/Classification Specification](https://www.butte.edu/about/administration/human-resources/_documents/class-specs/csea/special-programs-clerk.pdf), [CSEA Range 18](https://www.butte.edu/about/administration/human-resources/employee-agreements/csea/salary-schedules/2025-2026-12-month-classified.html); Full-time/Non-Exempt; 40 hours per week; 11 months per year (June off) **Projected Recruitment Timeline** Anticipated Application Screening Period: July 27, 2026 - August 3, 2026 Tentative First Interview Dates: Week of August 18, 2026 Tentative Second Interview Dates: August 27, 2026 Anticipated Start Date: October 2026 **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** The Special Programs Clerk coordinates and supports the implementation of programs and events, manages daily operational functions, and facilitates initiatives that advance allyship and inclusive engagement for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, and additional sexual and gender identities (LGBTQIA+) students. This position oversees the Queer Resource Center (QRC) and fosters an affirming, inclusive environment that promotes belonging, visibility, and holistic support for students who identify as LGBTQIA+. **Work Schedule** The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Over the summer the position is off in June, and then for the rest of the summer schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with Friday off. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** **Education/Experience** - High School Graduate or General Educational Development (GED); **AND** - One (1) year of clerical or administrative experience related to the duties and responsibilities of the position. - Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position. **Diversity Qualifications** - Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity and sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff. **APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS** All applicants, including current Butte College employees, must complete and submit an online application with all required attachments to move forward.
