Senior Software Engineer positions focus on delivering results in their domain. This page aggregates open Senior Software Engineer roles and what employers typically expect.
At some point in a senior engineer's career, they stop asking permission to make the architectural call — and start asking what the right call actually is. That's the level we're hiring at. Wildlife's Live Games Tech team operates with real end-to-end accountability. You'll make architectural decisions for systems serving millions of daily players — not write proposals that cycle through approval layers, but actually decide, implement, ship, and own the outcomes. You'll define how the team operates in production. You'll shape the technical direction of features from their earliest conversations. And when something breaks in production, you're the person who was already thinking about it. Our stack: Unity/C# on the client, Go on the backend, AWS and Kubernetes for infrastructure. WHAT YOU'LL LEAD Architectural design and implementation of complex features across mobile client and backend — with explicit, documented trade-offs Full technical ownership of your domain: performance, scalability, long-term maintainability, and accountability for the outcomes The full production cycle: shipping, monitoring, reading post-release signals, iterating fast without sacrificing quality The team's observability practices: SLIs, alerting, dashboards, incident response processes that hold up under pressure Proactive improvements to the codebase — not as a separate track, but as part of how you operate Technical development of junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions Feature direction in collaboration with product and design from the very first conversation WHAT YOU'LL NEED Deep experience as a developer with production systems at scale Proven background in software architecture and system design for live environments Experience with monitoring, observability, and incident response in production A clear track record of leading technical initiatives and raising the bar for those around you Working proficiency in English WHAT WE'D LOVE TO SEE Unity/C# for mobile Go and Kubernetes-based backends AWS A background in games or other high-traffic consumer products WHO YOU ARE You've shipped things that live in production and you understand what ownership really means. You make architectural decisions with confidence — and you can explain the why to engineers, product, and leadership without losing the room. You think in systems. You don't wait for the perfect spec. And when something breaks in production, you're the one people want to have been already thinking about it.
