Senior QA Engineer (Manual & Automation)

Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with 7–8 years of experience in both Manual and Automation Testing to join our Healthcare Product team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing enterprise web applications, APIs, and AI-enabled features. Beyond individual execution, the candidate should be comfortable dividing work across the QA team, guiding and coaching junior engineers, and being capable of independently owning QA activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality product releases. Key Responsibilities 1. Understand business requirements and prepare test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases 1. Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, System, and End-to-End testing 1. Execute comprehensive regression testing for every release 1. Develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts for web applications 1. Perform API testing and API automation 1. Validate backend data using SQL queries 1. Identify, log, track, and verify defects using Jira or Azure DevOps 1. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Data Team, AI Team, and Business Analysts 1. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and release activities Team & People Management 1. Divide and allocate testing work across the QA team based on release priorities and individual strengths. 1. Guide junior and mid-level QA engineers on test design, automation practices, and defect investigation 1. Coach team members to grow their manual and automation testing skills, and support their career development 1. Review the work of other QA engineers — test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports — to ensure quality and consistency. 1. Act as a point of escalation for the QA team on technical blockers, and set an example through hands-on ownership ### Requirements Required Technical Skills Manual Testing 1. Strong knowledge of STLC, SDLC, and Defect Life Cycle 1. Expertise in Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, UAT, and End-to-End Testing 1. Experience in writing and executing detailed test cases 1. Strong understanding of release validation and production verification Automation Testing 1. Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress 1. Strong programming knowledge in Java or Python 1. Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks (POM, Data-Driven, Hybrid, or BDD) 1. Experience with TestNG/JUnit and Maven/Gradle 1. CI/CD integration using Jenkins or Azure DevOps API & Database 1. Strong experience with Postman for API validation 1. API automation using Rest Assured or equivalent 1.
