Senior Manager, Purchasing

**Job Description:** The Senior Manager, Purchasing, provides strategic direction and leadership to the Longview purchasing department, ensuring that sourcing decisions support AAON’s operational and financial objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of global supply chains, supplier risk management, and cost optimization in a manufacturing environment. **Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:** - Develop and execute long-term procurement strategies that align with company goals. - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing purchasing team, including buyers and expeditors. - Establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. - Oversee risk mitigation strategies. - Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to forecast material needs. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing, procurement processes, and supplier performance. - Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. **Work Location, Education and Experience Requirements:** - Role will be located at the Longview, TX facility. No remote or hybrid schedule. - Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, and 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain leadership Preferred: Master’s degree in Business or Supply Chain; certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or APICS/CSCP; experience in HVAC or industrial manufacturing. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - Extensive knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier development. - Proven leadership experience in managing procurement teams. - Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills. - Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement analytics, and supply chain software. - Ability to manage complex supplier networks and global sourcing challenges. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. **Disclaimer:** Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
