Senior Lead Maintenance Technician - Dept. 283 (3rd Shift)

Finally, this position should have a high level of DENSO specific technical know-how - including best practices, standards, etc. | | | | **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** | | Provide technical support to Maintenance team members to troubleshoot complex problems in order to recover highly automated production equipment quickly. Assess skill levels of Maintenance team members Provide training to team members to close skill gaps Investigate difficult to resolve machine problems to determine root cause and implement countermeasures à primarily after other technician’s efforts have failed Spec and/or implement countermeasures to improve machine reliability or to upgrade obsolete machine components à primarily for complex issues that cannot be delegated to Maintenance team members Coordinate with machine design and/or PE teams when large or complex design solutions are needed to improve machine reliability or to upgrade obsolete machine components Lead or support a variety of special projects to improve machines and or team member skills – this could include investigation, planning developing proposals, coordination with vendors, summarizing information into presentation materials, etc. Review machine specs and designs prior to construction and make recommendations for improvement to design concepts in order to enhance future maintainability and reliability. This also includes leading other Maintenance activities related to new equipment introduction to ensure equipment meets DENSO’s standards - inspect machine construction, review of machine documentation, etc. Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive Preventive and Predictive Maintenance plan and procedures for automated equipment Analyze data to identify opportunities to improve the reliability, quality, or productivity of equipment Coaches team on the DENSO method(s) for troubleshooting, modifying, or maintaining equipment – similar to coordinator level understanding Summarize overall team’s skill gaps, training efforts, and make recommendations to further develop team or individual skills to meet organizational needs à to secure resources and/or leadership support Analyze overall line performance and take actions to improve OEE Review machinery related documentation including mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, necessary software and programs, flowcharts, etc, à to ensure it meets DENSO’s expectations for quality and content May act as a lead, coordinating the work of others, but is not a supervisor.
