Enforces company policies and procedures and performs assigned duties that ensure the security of patients, guests, and employees in a courteous and professional manner. Contents are subject to change at the company's discretion. **Education** Required - High School diploma or equivalent **Work Experience** Required: - 1 year Security, law enforcement, or military. - Previous experience or is presently, an armed police officer with a Louisiana or Federal Law. - Enforcement Agency (reserve status is acceptable) and has had arrest power and been assigned in an active law enforcement capacity. **Certifications** Required: - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association - Completion of Certified Police Officer of Standard Training Policy Academy (state, federal, or military). - Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Certification or Military Police equivalent - Valid Louisiana driver’s license and clean DMV report - Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), and firearms training - International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification to be obtained within 90 days of promotion/hire - Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of the FTO Program within the first 60 days of employment **Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)** - Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information. - Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard. - Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals. - Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information. - Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard. - This position is considered Team A Essential Personnel and must report for duty in the event of a disaster. - Must be able to work a flexible schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability). **Job Duties** - Enforces all company safety and security rules, regulations and policies on company property. - Conducts routine inspections of on-site and off-site locations of the company. - Investigates accidents and incidents as assigned and report all occurrences in a timely manner. - Performs safety and security related duties as assigned and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. - Participates in emergency response and related preparedness drills. - Maintains required annual certifications and completes training requirements within required time periods. - Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting expla…
