Seasonal Part-Time Digital Content Desk Assistant

The NFL Digital Media team is seeking a Seasonal Part-Time Digital Content Desk Assistant who is tasked with assisting the NFL Media Assignment Desk in all phases of the newsgathering process for digital content. This role requires working with others at various levels on the assignment desk. The role will work closely with NFL.com editorial staff as well as ticker operators and content producers. **Essential Functions** Potential candidates must meet the following criteria and perform the following duties: - Must be able to follow instructions and work well with others in a fast-paced environment - Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily assignments - Strong attention to detail - Demonstrate strong communication skills both verbally and written - Ability to meet deadlines under pressure situations - Strong football knowledge and awareness of NFL events and stories, ability to quickly identify players and coaches - Familiar with utilizing social media for content gathering - Comfortable with proactive outreach via phone, social media or email - Experience in copy-editing preferred - Knowledge of Premiere or Adobe a plus - Knowledge of Tagboard a plus - Must be flexible with work schedule including weekends and holidays **Required Education and Experience** - 4-year degree or equivalent education - 1+ years in a newsroom or journalism environment **Preferred Education and Experience** - Previous professional experience in TV Production environment is strongly preferred. **Other Key Attributes / Characteristics** - Must have strong editorial skills and NFL knowledge to know what video and soundbites are best to edit - Must be able to respond quickly on short deadlines - Must be able to respond positively to criticism - A team attitude is mandatory in all tasks requested from the smallest to largest **Terms / Expected Hours of Work** - 30 hours or less a week over at 7-month period - May include weekend shifts - Part-time, non-exempt - This is an in-office position – no remote work **Salary / Pay Range** This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified.
