**Job Title: Safety Ambassador** **Pay Range: $17.00 to $17.00 per hour** (Weekly Pay & Pay Advance Before Payday!) **Shift/Schedule:** - **Mon. & Wed. from 2:00pm to 7:30pm** - **Thu. - Sat. from 12:30pm to 10:00pm** - **Tues. & Sun. = OFF Days** **Valid Driver's License REQUIRED** **Who We Are**: At ***Block by Block,*** we employ Ambassadors to make public spaces better by making them friendlier, safer and cleaner for the communities we serve. This is also a great opportunity for retirees, veterans, and graduating high school seniors who are looking for their first job. **What You'll Be Doing**: - Patrol the assigned zone on foot and/or bike as a deterrent and be on the lookout for unwanted behavior and activity. - Provide information, assistance, and directions to pedestrians and visitors. Must maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times. - Be watchful for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report to local authorities via established communication methods. We will train. - Valid driver's license required. - Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED - Must be at least 18 years of age. - Must have the physical capacity to walk or traverse (including riding a bike) continuously during an eight-hour shift, with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break. - Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions (free uniforms provided) - Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.
