As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off, providing professional nursing care to a specified group of patients in a variety of ambulatory care settings. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. How You’ll Benefit - Take advantage of industry leading benefits, including Tuition Reimbursement program to reinvest in your career. - Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. **A caregiver in this role works evenings from 12:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: - Assess health status by completing a nursing assessment. - Perform telephone triage. - Notify physicians/LIPs of abnormal findings. - Establish a care plan in collaboration with the patient, family, and health care team. - Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transitions of care. - Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. - Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physician/LIP and monitor patients for response. - Initiate CPR and other emergency measures. - Provide health education to patients and families. - Develop, evaluate, adapt and document education to learning needs. - Participate in quality initiatives, process improvements, and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience and patient safety. - Maintain professional growth and development in the nursing field and identify annual core competencies. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN program) - Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) - Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - One year of recent experience as an RN - **OR** LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting - **OR** a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Two to three years of experience - Ambulatory or acute care experience - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through American Red Cross Certification within 6 months of hire **Physical Requirements:** - Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. - Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. - May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. - Ligh…
