As an RN, you'll build meaningful relationships with patients while administering specialized infusion therapies, including anti-rejection medications that play a vital role in protecting transplanted organs. Working alongside experienced nurses in a collaborative outpatient setting, you'll care for an average of 8–9 patients each day in a clinic with five infusion chairs, providing personalized, one-on-one care from start to finish. In this role, you'll start and remove IVs, administer infusion treatments, monitor patients throughout their appointments, and document care accurately while educating patients and their families. This position is ideal for nurses who enjoy hands-on clinical skills, especially IV insertion and infusion therapy, and who value developing lasting patient connections. As part of Cleveland Clinic, you'll also have access to exceptional professional development opportunities, including continuing education, specialty training, and online and in-person courses to help you grow throughout your nursing career. **A caregiver in this position days| 7:00am—5:30pm or 8:00am—4:30pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: - Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting. - Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans. - Administer medication and treatments. - Initiate CPR and other emergency measures. - Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings. - Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment. - Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families. - Cover other nursing roles within the department. - Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) - Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - In areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing, must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire - One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) - IV/infusion experience **Physical Requirements:** - Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. - Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. - May requires so…
