**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves working closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to assist in the delivery of high-quality patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Answering phones and properly completing the task (refill/lab results/reschedule) - Scheduling appointments/rescheduling if needed - Opening notes for the provider - Rooming patients, verifying demographics/pharmacy/insurance/phone - Completing vitals and properly entering into EHR - Verifying medications - Calling patient back with lab results, documenting the phone contact - FMH tasks daily - Drug precertification - Checking patients out (making next appointment, entering labs/xrays) - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards. - Follow infection control policies and procedures. **Qualifications:** - Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer software. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory **Education:** - High school diploma or GED required; additional education in medical assisting preferred - Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
