We are seeking a motivated and experienced Part-Time Collector to join our team. Position Overview As a FT Collector, you will play a critical role in managing patient accounts and ensuring timely reimbursement for services rendered. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in medical billing and collections, demonstrate longevity in previous roles, and maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Perform timely and effective follow-up on outstanding patient accounts Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve billing issues and inquiries Review and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions Utilize billing software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to track payments and update patient records Collaborate with the billing team and other departments to streamline processes and optimize revenue cycle performance Requirements High School Diploma or GED required 3–4 years of collections experience, with a strong emphasis on healthcare insurance collections Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) system preferred Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize urgent matters What We Offer As an organization, one way we care for our communities and each other is by providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes the following, subject to employment status: Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage Life and AD&D insurance Short- and long-term disability options Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA) 401(k) with retirement planning support Paid holidays and vacation time Who We Are At USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
