Job Title: Band 8b Clinical Psychologist – Low Secure Male Mental Health Banding: Band 8b Location: Birmingham – easily accessible from central Birmingham and surrounding areas Working Hours: Minimum 3 days per week, full-time available Salary: Competitive, in line with NHS rates Are you a Band 8b Clinical Psychologist with experience in secure settings? We’re recruiting for a temporary role supporting adult men with complex mental health conditions at a specialist site in Birmingham. This is a brilliant opportunity to work flexibly (minimum 3 days per week) in a low secure ward, delivering impactful psychological care in a well-supported environment. The role offers competitive rates and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a service focused on recovery and rehabilitation. Responsibilities In this role, you will: Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for men with complex mental health needs. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support care planning, formulation, and risk management. Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based therapies tailored to individual needs. Offer consultation and supervision to colleagues where appropriate. Contribute to service development and clinical governance initiatives.
