**City/State** Virginia Beach, VA **Work Shift** First (Days) **Overview:** **Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on Cardiac Unit 2 West.** **Hours/Shift:** FLEXI, dayshift. Approximately 7am to 7pm **Department/Position Overview:** 2 West Cardiac Medicine is a dynamic, 34‑bed telemetry unit dedicated to delivering high‑quality cardiac care. Our team works with hospitalists and cardiologists to care for the congestive heart failure, angina, STEMI/NSTEMI and arrhythmia patients. We recover patients who have just undergone cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, ablations, and cardioversions. Aside from the awesome care we provide, we have an amazing and diverse team of nurses and patient care technicians. We are committed to excellent patient care and patient satisfaction. Patient Care Technicians are unlicensed staff members who are accountable to, and work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to implement delegated aspects of nursing care. Provide patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse.
