Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming. **Essential Job Functions** • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, tubs and showers, day rooms. • Clean offices, public areas, laundry rooms, and nurses’ stations. • Clean all fixtures and accessories in all areas. • Vacuum and spot clean all carpeted areas. • Sweep and mop all tile and concrete areas. • Pull trash. • Replenish paper towels, soap, toilet paper and liquid soap, as needed. • Water shrubs and plants inside the facility. • Issue linens and ensure adequate linen supply by taking regular inventories. • Monitor inventory of housekeeping chemicals and supplies and report to Supervisor. • Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, clients, and prospective clients. • Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness to perform the job in a safe manner. • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor. **Education and Experience** • High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred • Two years' experience • Ability to read, write, and communicate with people and follow instructions. • Must be able to push carts, equipment, and supplies to all areas of facility. • Must be able to lift trash and linen weighing from 25 to 35 lbs. • Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb. • Must be able to use mops, brooms, vacuums, wall washing equipment, and high dusting equipment, which would require working below waist level up to overhead level. *Disclaimer* *The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
