Position Details Title : Outpatient Clinician (Bilingual Spanish) Classification : Regular Full Time (1.0 FTE), Exempt Location : Oakland, CA / Hybrid (availability to provide client services in-person and complete documentation remotely) Regular Work Schedule : Full time, M-F Compensation: Salary for bilingual clinicians is $ 79,200 per year for ​ those collecting hours toward licensure ​ (Master's level), and licensed starting at $90,200. Rate inclusive of 10% Spanish language differential Our Outpatient Mental Health Services are uniquely suited to meet the needs of vulnerable and high-risk children, adolescents and families – particularly those involved in the Alameda County foster care system. The Bilingual (Spanish) Outpatient Clinician sees clients at our Fruitvale clinic as well as in community settings, meeting the youth and families needs by centering their voice and choice throughout a collaborative treatment process. As an Outpatient Clinician, you will work with a skilled team of mental health staff including Intensive Care Coordinators, Case Managers and other licensed (and license-eligible) clinicians on evidence-based collaborative treatment plans, psychosocial assessments, individual and family therapy, parent training and provide on-going support for the youth and families on your team’s caseload. We offer extensive in-service training and support for our staff clinicians in this challenging and rewarding work, including but not limited to weekly supervision and group supervision (case conference), affinity groups, staff meetings, trainings and other community building/supportive learning spaces. Key Responsibilities: Maintain a clinical caseload of Spanish-speaking clients that meets productivity goals as set by the agency Provide individual therapy, family therapy, caregiver guidance, collateral contacts and case management in the clinic and community. Collaborate with other professionals within WestCoast and partnering agencies to ensure the highest quality of service to clients. Comply with WestCoast policies, procedures, and deadlines related to billing, clinical record keeping and timely, high-quality documentation Participate in agency wide trainings, specific program meetings, clinical supervision and case conference as required Work proactively with program leadership to ensure the strength of the program and completes additional tasks as requested Qualifications and Competencies: Masters or doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy (required) Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)* Minimum two years clinical experience in community mental health with emphasis on underserved and at-risk children and adolescents (preferred) Experience working with foster care, child welfare, court system, low-income and immigrant families in community mental health settings (preferred) Clinical training and experience providing trauma informed treatments to clients and families with complex trauma and attachment difficulties related to abuse, neglect, interpersonal and community violence, and foster care placement Sensitivity and awareness in dealing with issues of cultural competency, and experience working with diverse communities Clinical service skill – assessment/evaluation, clinical skills, crisis intervention, ability to use supervision effectively, ethical and legal responsibilities, high quality clinical documentation Ability to work effectively with clients who have complex, multiple diagnosis histories Efficiency and time management - ability to be well-organized and complete timely documentation Exc…
