Come join us and become a part of our winning formula! **ESSENTIAL DUTIES:** - Follow start-up and shut down procedures - Read and follow batch record - Calibrate and set color/acid, flavor and solution pumps - Read recipes and interpret for production - Complete process control and production reports - Calculate raw materials - Alter set points for cooking temperature to cook required solids - Follow color/acid recipes and produce - Read a refractometer and PH meter - Co-ordinate the flow of product from conditioning through pan unloading - Startup and shut down procedures - Perform emergency shutdown specified procedures - Operate within tolerance specified in recipes - Follow SCN BestCo LOTO Policy and procedures to ensure that machines or equipment are isolated from all potentially hazardous energy before performing cleaning, service or maintenance activities where they may be an unexpected energization, start-up, or release of stored energy. - Requisition/return materials from/to warehouse - Responsible for the hygiene and housekeeping of the machinery and the area around the equipment - Input requirements into computer **KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:** - Self-starter - High level of personal integrity - Ability to handle multi-tasks - Hygiene oriented - With aid, lift to 60 pounds - Mathematically inclined - Must pass basic math test - Good writing skills - Quality conscious - Safety conscious - Production and efficiency oriented - Attention to cGMP’s **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:** - High School Diploma or GED - At least 1-year manufacturing machine operator experience outside of SCN BestCo or 3 months working as a manufacturing machine operator at SCN BestCo as an employee or through a staffing agency or Certified Production Technician through NCMI. - Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation - Must be open to work any shift that is necessary depending on the business needs - Able to stand for long periods of time - Basic computer knowledge (must be able to log on and complete required cGMP SOP training and email - Basic mathematical skills to be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide and make fine adjustments in equipment settings - Effective and clear written /oral communication skills fluent in English to clearly communicate with other team members - Willing and able to clean and sanitize machines - Constantly working in a high temperature environment **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** - More than 1-year Machine operator experience - Certified Production Technician through NCMI - Pharmaceutical industry experience - FDA experience
