Sales Development Representative (Industrial IoT / Deep Tech) Industry: Industrial IoT / Deep Tech — AI-powered fire prevention & predictive maintenance Location: Remote, anywhere in the US Schedule: Full-time, core working hours with flexibility Department: Sales ABOUT THE ROLE Our client is a deep-tech startup building AI-powered thermal monitoring technology that stops industrial fires and equipment failures before they happen. Their infrared cameras and machine-learning software watch the components most likely to overheat — motors, bearings, conveyors, electrical cabinets — and alert plant teams before a hot spot becomes a fire or a shutdown. The platform is already protecting facilities across multiple countries, with zero customers lost in three years. They're now building their first-ever US commercial team, and this SDR role is a founding seat on it. You won't be dropped into an existing playbook with a big team of peers — you'll be one of the first people building the outbound motion from scratch, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the founding Account Executives. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Prospect into industrial and manufacturing accounts — plant managers, maintenance and reliability leaders, safety directors — using cold calling, email sequencing, and social selling - Build and run outbound cadences using modern sales engagement tools (sequencers, dialers, CRM) - Qualify inbound and outbound interest and hand off well-prepared meetings to the Account Executive team - Help build the playbook as you go — there's no fully mature process yet, and your input will shape it - Represent the company at trade shows and occasional plant visits, learning the product and market from the ground up WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Tool and tech fluency is the bar, not industry background. You're comfortable and effective with sequencing platforms, power dialers, and CRM systems — you pick up new tools fast - A track record of hitting or exceeding outbound targets (calls, meetings booked, pipeline generated) - Real comfort operating in a lean, early-stage environment without a big team or a fully built process around you — you build as you go rather than waiting for structure - Strong, clear communication — you can hold a conversation and qualify interest quickly - A genuine growth mindset: this role has a defined path toward an Account Executive seat as you prove yourself (typically within about a year) Nice to have, not required: exposure to industrial, technical, or B2B hardware/software sales. If you've sold into plant or facility environments before, that's a bonus — but it's not a gate. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Competitive base salary - Uncapped variable tied to meetings booked and pipeline generated - Travel covered for conferences, trade shows, and occasional plant visits - Remote-first role with flexibility, and a clear, fast path to promotion as the US team scales WHY THIS ROLE - Founding-team seat. You're not backfilling — you're helping build the first US sales motion from day one - Fast growth path. Early hires on this team have a clear, near-term trajectory into a closing (AE) role - Real ownership from day one. Small team, high trust, direct visibility into what's working and what isn't - Mission that matters. The work directly prevents industrial fires and protects people, not just software metrics Our client is an equal-opportunity employer and welcomes applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
