Center for Human Development, CHD, is currently seeking a full-time **Medication Specialist** for our Grace House residential program. CHD’s Grace House is a residential treatment program for mothers in early recovery located in Northampton, MA. The program can house up to fourteen mothers with children in a collective living environment, where they share space and resources in an effort to build a recovery community and encourage peaceful living. As a therapeutic setting, we strive to provide each family with a safe, nurturing environment where mothers and their children can experience success. Grace House is considered a **M**edication **O**bservation **P**rogram (MOP). The Medication Specialist role is a full-time position and is a combination of Med Specialist and Direct care. The medication specialist primary function is to ensure proper medication observation strategies are being followed, that patient and resident prescription medications and over the counter drugs are being taken properly and desired health outcomes are achieved. This includes initial and ongoing monitoring of medications, addressing medication supply and adherence concerns, and coordinating care between providers, participant, and clinical team. **Some additional responsibilities will include;** - Inventory and storage - Monitoring use and safe handling of medications - Disposal of medications - Transporting medications - Assisting in re-packaging medications into pill organizers/boxes and alternative dosage systems - Weekly requisitions of all participants' medication regime/adherence in preparation to present to clinical team during weekly clinical meetings - Facilitate ongoing communication with leadership and clinical team about any issues relating to medication Interested candidates must have at least two years of working experience in mental health/SUD, one year of working experience with medications or have MAP or MOP certification, associate degree preferred.
