Investigates problems, performs corrective and preventative maintenance of equipment, prepares reagents, instructs students and new employees, and performs data entry and interpretation of test results. - Performs various laboratory diagnostic tests on patient specimens. - Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the operation and principles of departmental instrumentation. - Accurately interprets and reports laboratory test results. - Communicates effectively with physicians, nursing staff, co-workers and other organizational staff. - Observes and follows established departmental environment of care and safety protocols and practices. - Attends departmental, organizational and continuing education meetings. - Performs other duties as assigned. **What Sets BRG Apart:** At Baton Rouge General we are a community of compassionate, caring individuals who set the bar when it comes to healthcare excellence.
