Our vision is to be a leading consultancy globally, delivering integrated and sustainable solutions that shape today and tomorrow. ## Job Description **Joining Ramboll** As our new Mechanical and HVAC designer, you will be working across a wide range of mechanical design knowledge areas and have a desired focus area in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing related work. The candidate will work with engineers to develop HVAC and plumbing designs using Revit. **Tasks and Responsibilities** - Performing design work in various areas of the mechanical discipline. The majority of the work will be related to heating, ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing; however the candidate should also expect work in industrial piping, central utility plants, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, steam systems, and fire protection. - Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to produce final construction drawings and details. - Developing conceptual designs and cost estimates for early stages of the project life cycle. - Creating design drawings utilizing Revit design software. - Designing plumbing and building utility piping systems. - Visiting job sites as required to support the design effort. A mix of day trips and overnight domestic trips should be expected. - Adhering to the policies and standards set forth in the Ramboll’s Project Execution Manual. - Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees by adhering to Ramboll’s Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures. ## Qualifications **Your starting point for constant growth** From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is: - Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or greater. - Experience with HVAC and Industrial duct layout. - Knowledge of SMACNA duct construction standards. - Knowledge of the International Plumbing code and its requirements for plumbing design. - Ability to foster a creative engineering environment. - Strong communication skills, (both in written and verbal). - Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the mechanical engineering discipline. - Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs. - Experience with AutoCAD and Revit design software strongly preferred. - 5+ years of experience preferred ## Additional Information **About Ramboll** Founded in Denmark, Ramboll is a foundation-owned people company.
