Logistic Specialist

**About the position** Location: Katowice Hybrid model of working Fixed-term contract for 18 months **Main Job Purpose:** Responsibility for transportation order planning. **Key Responsibilities:** - Transport orders planning, cost checking, spot offers negotiation, on-time checking, updating system, e-mail/call responding - Cost and Service monitoring and improvement activities - Performance monitoring (cost, payload rate and demurrages) - Lead cost/service improvement projects (intermodal, ambient, direct delivery, GPS implementation, system improvement…) - Carriers claims validation - Initiate and follow through re-tendering and carrier performance management - Carrier recharging **Typical Activities:** - Transport order planning, cost checking, spot offer nego, OT checking, updating system, e-mail/call responding - Daily transport planning in TMS and order processing (~80% are automated / semi-automated) - Shipments follow-up and monitoring + communication to SC stakeholders when required - Daily coordination with factories, suppliers and carriers - Daily planning of dedicated fleet - Spot market shipment carrier scouting and cost negotiation - Payload improvement though orders combination **So, what does it take to be successful in this role?** ESSENTIAL - University degree PREFERRED - Science, Engineering or Economics degree, ideally with a Logistics or Supply Chain element - Supply Chain and/or Logistics experience in FMCG or other relevant industry (Retailer or 3PL environment) **What’s next** If this position sounds interesting, please hit the apply button now!
