**Job Summary:** The **Pediatric LPN** will provide **direct patient care** to children requiring **tracheostomy, ventilator support, and G-J tube feeding** in a **home health, hospital, or clinical setting**. The nurse will work closely with **registered nurses (RNs), physicians, and respiratory therapists** to ensure optimal patient outcomes. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Monitor and manage tracheostomy and ventilator equipment**, ensuring proper function and patient safety. - **Perform suctioning, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance techniques** as needed. - **Administer medications** and treatments per physician orders. - **Manage G-J tube feedings**, including formula administration, flushing, and troubleshooting complications. - **Assess and document patient condition**, including vital signs, respiratory status, and nutritional intake. - **Educate and support families** on trach, ventilator, and G-J tube care, emergency procedures, and daily management. - **Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams** to develop and implement individualized care plans. - **Respond to emergencies**, including trach dislodgement, ventilator alarms, and G-J tube complications. - **Maintain infection control standards** and ensure a safe environment for the patient. **Qualifications:** - **Valid LPN license** in the state of practice. - **Experience with pediatric trach, ventilator, and G-J tube care** (preferred, but training may be provided). - **CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification**. - **Strong assessment and critical thinking skills**. - **Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team**. - **Excellent communication and family education skills**. **Work Environment:** - **Home health care**, pediatric hospitals, long-term care facilities, or outpatient clinics. - **Flexible scheduling**, including day, night, and weekend shifts. - **Opportunities for specialized training** in pediatric respiratory and nutritional care. Compensation: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
