Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant with an accredited institution, listed with the Connecticut State Registry or certification as a Home Health Aide. **EXPERIENCE**: Preferred experience working with the senior population; will train new graduates. **Skills and Competencies:** - Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language clearly - Must be able to relate to the elderly in a dignified manner and build a relationship with residents that are positive and supportive. - Maintain in-service hours required for certification and by company policy. - Competent use of equipment such as mechanical lifts, scales, and assistive mobility devices. - Must be physically able to lift and carry moderately heavy loads and walk and stand for extended periods. - Working knowledge of computers and ability to learn and utilize electronic documentation. **Who We Are:** Seabury is a premier Not-for-Profit Active Life Plan Community located on 66 acres of beautiful Connecticut countryside.
