Responsive recruiter **Event Staff — Internal Applicant Job Description** Location: The Big Chill Reports to: Marketing and Events Manager Department: Marketing **Position Summary:** The Internal Event Staff is an opportunity for team members who want to grow their event, guest service, and leadership skills while supporting The Big Chill experience. This role assists the Marketing and Events Manager during off-season events. **Role Overview:** This role is involved in every facet of the event execution while modeling our core values. · **Connect:** Welcome and serve guests, engage families, and create a friendly, energetic event atmosphere. · **Act:** Help with setup, supplies, event flow, safety, breakdown, and quick problem-solving. · **Recognize:** Anticipate guest, team and vendor needs, observe event flow, and communicate improvement opportunities to the Marketing and Events Manager. · **Excite:** Bring energy, enthusiasm, and confidence during activities, announcements, and guest interactions. · **Support:** Assist managers, performers, vendors, and teammates before, during, and after events. **Internal Applicant Qualifications:** · Current team member in good standing and recommended by their AOR Manager. · Consistently demonstrates CARES through guest interactions, teamwork, and follow-through. · Reliable, punctual, positive, and guest-focused. · Tech savvy and comfortable with basic event technology, including music, microphones, and sound boards. · Comfortable speaking with guests and working in a fast-paced event environment. · Comfortable communicating with vendors and upholding CWHG or guidelines. · Able to follow direction, communicate clearly, and support leadership, our team, our guests and our vendors. · Available for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed. · Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. **Growth Opportunity:** · Hands-on event experience. · Growth in guest service, communication, teamwork, and leadership. · More opportunities to support The Big Chill experience. · Future opportunities to transition into a full-time Event Staff role will be based on business needs and performance. Compensation: $20.00 per hour THE BIG CHILL is a family-friendly entertainment complex located on historic 30A, nestled between Alys Beach and Seaside. Our venue hosts five restaurants, three bars, retail shops, an amphitheater for live music, and a 25’ LED Jumbotron for sports and movies. We are open year-round from 7am to 10pm. We provide a fun and lively gathering spot for families and friends to enjoy good food and positive vibes!
