## Ultrasound Technologist **Location:** Willow Park, TX **Schedule:** Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM **No weekends or on-call** **Compensation:** Based on experience ### Requirements - Current ARDMS certification - Strong patient care and communication skills - Ability to work independently and collaboratively - Knowledge of ultrasound safety standards, procedures, and equipment - Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented ### Position Summary North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in an outpatient imaging environment. The ideal candidate will prioritize patient safety, education, comfort, and excellent image quality. ### Responsibilities - Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols. - Verify patient identity, review orders, and obtain relevant medical history. - Explain procedures, answer questions, and help reduce patient anxiety. - Properly position patients and adjust equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images. - Evaluate images for quality and completeness before concluding each examination. - Accurately document patient care and examination details in the RIS/PACS. - Maintain patient privacy and comply with HIPAA requirements. - Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and emergency-response policies. - Perform required equipment quality-control checks and report malfunctions promptly. - Maintain current professional and technical knowledge. - Comply with applicable federal, state, and professional standards. - Collaborate with radiologists, coworkers, and referring offices to support efficient patient care. - Assist with other related duties as needed. **Job Type:** Full-time **Required Certification:** ARDMS **Salary:** Dependent on experience **Benefits:** Health insurance, PTO, scrubs provided, no weekends/on-call required, and closed major holidays with holiday pay.
