Full time PTA in Lymphedema department- Bluebonnet Campus

## Overview This position will be in the lymphedema department so prior experience with patients who have lymphedema or cancer would be ideal. However, we are certainly open to someone new who has interest in this space and willing to train in these areas as needed. You would work alongside a great team of occupational and physical therapists with many years of experience in the lymphedema and cancer realm. ## Description Helping Patients Recover Mobility, Strength & Independence What We’re Looking For: - Current Louisiana licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (required). - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary healthcare environment. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Commitment to patient-centered care across all age populations. - Knowledge of HIPAA, safety, and infection-control standards. Why You’ll Love Working With Us: - Comprehensive benefits program for you and your family. - Professional development and continuing education support. - Collaborative, team-focused care environment. - Opportunities to work across multiple clinical settings. - Generous paid time off and employee wellness programs. - Employee perks: https://www.brgeneral.org/about/careers/perks What You Will Do: Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will deliver hands-on patient care, assist with evaluations, and implement treatment plans to support recovery and functional improvement. - Provide treatment to patients based on established plans of care and therapist direction. - Implement therapeutic exercise programs aligned with patient goals and discharge plans. - Instruct patients in proper use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, canes, braces, and prosthetics. - Educate patients and families on home exercise programs. - Modify treatments with therapist approval to support patient progress. - Assist in collecting data for evaluations and reassessments. - Meet departmental productivity standards. - Accurately document patient care, progress notes, and billing information. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and participate in care conferences. - Recommend discharge needs and equipment as appropriate. - Provide training to staff on mobility and equipment usage. - Participate in department education and training activities. - Maintain continuing education requirements for licensure. - Work across multiple locations or clinical areas as needed. - Complete assigned projects and perform all other duties as assigned.
