**Summary of Position:** **Fortune Fish & Gourmet** **is hiring in our Seafood Department!** **This is an exciting time to join our rapidly growing business! We are continually looking for outstanding talent to join our extraordinary and fun group of employees.** **Responsibilities** - Duties include sorting, butchering, cleaning, weighing, and boxing various seafood products. - All Fortune employees are required to wear protective safety gear and are responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment. **Qualifications** - Product and industry knowledge- fish and seafood handling preferred - Knife experience - Must be 18 years of age or older. - Must have a basic understanding of the English language, including the ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions. - Able to work with seafood, including various types of fish and shellfish. - Able to lift to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the work shift. - Must follow all directions and adhere to work rules. - Must be willing and able to work with other departments in a team atmosphere. - Must be willing and able to work in a multi-cultural environment. - Prompt and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job. - Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. - Perform other duties as assigned. **Working Conditions:** While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to cool, wet, and/or humid conditions, as well as moving mechanical parts. There is exposure to raw fish in the workplace. **Minimum Requirements:** - **2-3 years of cutting/filleter experience required.** - Education – High School Diploma or equivalent. - Experience – 2-3 years of experience use of fillet knives, food processing equipment and food safety in a fast-paced environment.
