**Summary of Position:** The Corner Store is a “takeout” food & beverage outlet primarily serving on-site guests who are seeking breakfast and to-go items. The corner store also contains apparel and gift items. This position fulfills the dual roles of “coffee and espresso maker”-where a high degree of precision is required in making coffee products-and the role of retail sales clerk. During a shift, the Baristas is responsible for the overall guest experience within the corner store, including the quality of guest interactions; the efficiency of service and check out; the cleanliness and sanitation of the store; and the fulfillment and display of merchandise. Duties must be performed in an internal customer-driven company manner. **Starting at Part-time and then progressing to Full-Time for the summer.** **Essential Functions:** 1. Help the team fulfill Land’s End’s Mission to “Bring Joy to Our Customers Every Day.” 1. Prepare and dispense coffee and non-alcoholic beverages for internal and external customers. 2. Coordinate daily and weekly priorities with the Corner Store Supervisor or Manager. 3. Greet customers promptly and courteously within 15 seconds of their arrival. 4. Reconcile shift revenues and assemble shift deposits; prepare following shifts bank. 5. Maintain and stock gift shop items; advise manager of needed product and inventory. 6. Maintain and clean: Counter area, product displays, espresso machine, and shop area. 7. Maintain thorough knowledge of corner store products and pricing. 8. Perform side work and other duties as requested by Restaurant Manager. 9. Training and proficiency as a Chartroom hostess or server is highly encouraged. **Qualifications:** 1. Ability to take direction, and to follow fixed processes, procedures, and policies. 2. Must possess a guest-friendly, customer service orientation 3. Proficiency with basic typing, computer programs, and communication devices. 4. Able to bend, squat, lift 40 lbs. to waist high, climb stairs, and to stand for long periods. 5. Able to meet and to maintain Land’s End dress code and personal conduct polices. 6. Able to work POS system, accountable for all cash and credit card sales during shift. 7. Previous experience or equivalent training in high volume, full-service operations.
