Economist - Benelux market (Dutch speaker)

## Your job You will join the global **Indeed Hiring Lab** team and will work to discover interesting and important insights in the large amount of unique data that we have on job search and hiring. You will conduct research and analysis on labour market trends across the Netherlands, Belgium, and other European countries, using Indeed’s proprietary data and public data sources to uncover meaningful patterns and developments. In this **Economist** role, you will write compelling, data-driven content and collaborate on global research projects with economists and data scientists across the Indeed Hiring Lab team. You will also work with large datasets from Indeed and other sources, using R and cloud computing tools to support your analysis and research. You will compellingly communicate your findings to a variety of audiences, in coordination with our economist, data science, editorial, PR, government relations and marketing teams. This includes serving as an expert on the Dutch and Belgian labour markets in media interviews and public engagements, as well as developing and delivering presentations at external events, conferences, and Indeed events for clients and client-facing staff. This exciting role lies at the heart of Indeed’s mission to help job seekers and employers navigate the ever-changing labour market. ## Who you are - Conduct research and write data-driven reports, articles, or blog posts on labor market trends using both proprietary and publicly available data - Collaborate with economists, data scientists, and other teams on research projects - Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using R or other data analysis tools - Present research findings through reports, presentations, and public engagements - Contribute to initiatives that share labor market insights with internal teams and external audiences ## Who we are - Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; or a PhD without experience - Knowledge of the Dutch labour market and familiarity with publicly available labour market data - Experience writing and presenting economic research to both technical and non-technical audiences - Experience working with big data stored in AWS or other cloud environments and mastery of R or similar data management and analysis tools - Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Dutch ## Our mission **Indeed** is wereldwijd de nummer 1 vacaturesite en het is onze missie om mensen aan een baan te helpen. Het daadwerkelijke salaris hangt onder meer af van locatie en ervaring. De vermelde schalen zijn slechts een onderdeel van het totale arbeidsvoorwaardenpakket voor medewerkers van Indeed.
