We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. If you have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a professional attitude, we want to hear from you! **Mechanic Duties & Responsibilities:** - Running diagnostic tests on vehicles - Analyzing diagnostic test results - Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems - Inspecting vehicle lighting systems - Test driving vehicles to gauge performance - Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns. - Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks - Conducts safety checks on vehicles - Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist - Maintaining a parts inventory - Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs - Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations - Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop, work area and equipment - MUST be willing to work a callout schedule ## Requirements **Diesel Mechanic Skills & Qualifications:** - Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering - ASE Diesel Certification advantageous - Valid Chauffeur’s driver's license, CDL preferred - Must have reliable transportation - Air Brakes Certification - Air Conditioning Certification - Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components - Knowledge of electrical system - Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics - Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds - Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather - Must have own tools - Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools - Attention to detail - Excellent problem-solving skills - Good interpersonal skills - Effectively communicates with co-workers in a positive manner - Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures - Excellent verbal communication skills - Good organization skills
