CarDon and Associates is now hiring a CMR Nurse (Centralized Medical Records Nurse). We offer daily and weekly pay options and great benefits! BASIC FUNCTION: The CMR Nurse (Centralized Medical Records Nurse) acts as a "gate-keeper" of the electronic health record system. The CMR Nurse audits and maintains the electronic chart for accuracy and compliance according to state and federal regulations and ensures the results of daily, weekly and monthly audits are corrected, reviewed and communicated with the nursing department of each community. CMR Nurse provides electronic health record support and guidance to each community assigned. The CMR Nurse performs his/her duties in accordance with high ethical standards and in compliance with community philosophy and policies, and all federal and state laws and regulations EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, CREDENTIALS: Licensed nurse within the State of Indiana; 1-3 years of clinical management experience in medical records or in a management type of role. RESPONSIBLE TO: CMR Clinical Information Manager ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: No person shall work under the influence of alcohol, intoxicants, or illegal drugs; or when the person is using medications to the extent that the use adversely affects the performance of his or her duties or the health or safety of any resident. It is everyone's responsibility to demonstrate high ethical standards and a commitment to compliance with all laws applicable to licensed and certified health care communities. The CMR Nurse must be able to perform each essential function effectively to be successful in this position. 1. Maintains the electronic medical records system through assigned daily, weekly, and monthly audits. Audits are subject to change. 2. Audits and corrects prior day's activity through specific reports. This information is then provided to the clinical nursing team at each community. 3. Audits discharge and admission charts specific to the Medical Record role and utilizes specific audit tools. 4. Monitors the Medical Records Clerk's compliance and quality of performance. 5. Offers assistance and guidance on a routine and as needed basis and provides communication to the Administrator and Director of Nursing as needed. 6. Performs routine focus audits. An established schedule for these focus audits is to be maintained. Results of these ongoing audits are to be provided to the Director of Nursing on a routine basis. 7. Audits for completion of documentation and provides results to the appropriate associate(s). 8. Monitors and maintains pharmacy fill reviews daily. 9. Enters a monthly level of care order for each resident at assigned communities. A schedule for entering level of care orders is to be maintained. 10. Assists with projects related to new electronic health record functionalities. 11. Must travel to all assigned communities on a routine basis. 12. Provides education related to the electronic medical records system to community level staff as needed. 13. Monitors the dashboard and widgets within the electronic health record to maintain relevant information. The preceding list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Has basic computer skills, including use of Microsoft applications, and the ability to learn and adapt to company policies and procedures. Can read, write, and make simple mathematical calculations. Ability to understand and carry out instructions that are provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to self-start and work independently. Has excellent communication, both written and verbal, and great people skills. Demonstrates good judgment to discern solutions to simple problems and obstacles to achieving objectives. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities; tactful, mature and flexible. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires flexibility with up to 50% of the hours outside of normal business hours. Can work overtime or on weekends if needed to complete duties.…
