Camp Lifeguard

**Position Title**: Lifeguard **Location:** Camp Alice Pittenger- McCall, ID **Salary Range**: $75-95/day + bonuses for additional certifications This position includes room and board for the length of employment. **Position Summary:** The best, most fun, challenging job you will ever love. As the Lifeguard, you will provide a fun waterfront and boating experience for campers while maintaining water safety by surveying swimming zones and enforcing safety rules and waterfront policies. **About Girl Scouts** Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls offering programs from coast to coast and across the globe. Silver Sage Girl Scout Council is committed to providing a work environment of equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants and creating a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and professionalism. **Responsibilities:** - Lifeguard in the swim or boating area up to four times a day for different groups of campers ranging in age from 8 to 17. - Conduct swim checks for all campers. - Organize and inventory the waterfront supplies. - Live with Camp Counselors in a unit of up to 30 campers. Assist Camp Counselors with camper supervision. - Provide excellent customer service when interacting with families and visitors. - Help as needed in the kitchen with dishes, cleaning, serving meals and meal prep. - Other duties as assigned. **Skills/ Qualifications:** - Must be at least 16 years old. - Must have or be able to obtain a valid Lifeguarding certificate with a waterfront endorsement. Certification courses will be provided if needed. - Must feel comfortable living in a rustic camp environment with limited access to cell phone service and internet.
