What You'll Do: The **Behavioral Health Medical Provider NP/PA - Telehealth position** directs, coordinates, and provides medical/clinical services to specified consumers (both youth and adult) through telehealth and, when needed, in collaboration with local Connections centers. Services include, but are not limited to, intervention, psychiatric evaluation and assessment, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, engagement, family meetings, supportive psychotherapy, individual education, risk assessment, consultation with on-site clinical teams, and discharge planning. The role requires effective delivery of care through secure telephone and video platforms while maintaining clinical quality, documentation standards, privacy, and compliance with applicable state licensure and regulatory requirements. - Serves as the attending clinician to specified individuals. Completes initial psychiatric assessments, crisis interventions, family interventions, focused crisis diagnostic assessments, assessments of capacity for consent to treatment, risk assessments, individual education, progress towards treatment goals, and discharge planning including medical, psychological, social, behavioral and developmental aspects of the consumer’s care, treatment, and services. - Documents individuals’ progress in the clinical record including admission order, progress notes, and discharge orders. Oversees delivery of medication education and consent, according to established policy. - Write orders related to the individual treatment plan, including admission orders, discharge orders, and medication administration orders. - Oversee delivery of medication education and consent, according to established policy. - Order laboratory tests according to standards of clinical practice. - Review the health assessments completed by nursing staff. - Obtain a past and current medical history, and conduct a focused physical examination as indicated, according to established guidelines. - Initiate contact with Primary Care Physicians and Emergency Room clinicians according to professional standards and established guidelines. - Provides necessary information to clinical team regarding inpatient utilization.
