Arena Operations Technician Organization: Florida Panthers Ice Den Department: Facility Operations Reports To: Director of Operations, Panthers Ice Den FLSA Status: Exempt Employment Type: Part-Time Location: Florida Panthers Ice Den, Coral Springs, FL — On-Site Schedule: Flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays Job Summary At the direction of the Director of Operations, the Arena Operations Technician will perform daily activities required to run, maintain, and service the events and activities at the Florida Panthers Ice Den, ensuring implementation of best practices consistent with the company's current policies and procedures. This position is essential to ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the ice rink. Job Functions Specific duties include but are not limited to: Walk the entire footprint of the Panthers Ice Den daily to ensure a clean and orderly environment; report and make recommendations to the Director of Operations on any pressing issues or concerns regarding the facilities Perform tasks necessary to ensure safe daily operations of the ice rink and all related support equipment Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of all facilities including lobbies, common areas, seating areas, bathrooms, locker rooms, bleachers, and showers Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all equipment used at the Panthers Ice Den, including HVAC systems, natural gas water heaters, ice plant operations, Zamboni ice resurfacer, carpentry, and other skills as needed Oversee machinery and equipment as directed by the Director of Operations Responsible for daily ice and board maintenance to conform to NHL standards All other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Experience with ice resurfacing equipment including operation, maintenance, and training preferred Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of building systems, equipment, maintenance procedures, tools, controls, and construction practices Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs Strong team player with good self-motivationa…
