With coast-to-coast operations, GEMCO delivers projects built on safety, quality, and innovation. **Position Summary** The Apprentice – Mechanical HVAC is an entry-level role designed for individuals seeking a career in the HVAC and mechanical construction trade. Working under the guidance of experienced Journeymen and Foremen, the Apprentice assists with installation, assembly, and maintenance of HVAC equipment and mechanical systems on new construction and retrofit projects. This role emphasizes hands-on training, safety awareness, and skill development to support long-term career growth within GEMCO. **Primary Responsibilities and Duties** - Assist with installation of ductwork, HVAC equipment, and roof curbs under supervision - Cut, thread, and prepare pipe using hand tools, pipe cutters, cutting torches, and pipe-threading machines - Support alignment and installation of mechanical systems to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications - Load, unload, stage, and organize materials, tools, and equipment on job sites - Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition - Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications as directed - Follow company safety standards and participate in required safety training - Document work performed and communicate progress, issues, or material needs to supervisors - Perform additional duties as assigned to support project completion **Traits and Competencies** - Ability to follow direction and work effectively under supervision - Dependable, responsible, and committed to safety - Strong willingness to learn HVAC and mechanical trade skills - Flexible and adaptable to changing job site conditions - Resourceful and proactive in supporting team needs - Positive attitude toward learning, teamwork, and professional growth - Comfortable with extensive travel and working away from home **Physical Demands** - Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods - Lift up to 50 pounds regularly - Work on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts in various weather conditions **Benefits and Perks** - Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, 401(k) **GEMCO Constructors is an Equal Opportunity Employer.**
