Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey’s largest nonprofit healthcare organizations, is seeking an Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Cardiac Services team at Morristown Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a highly regarded team of Electrophysiologists and Cardiologists in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The APP will play a key role in the management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology conditions across the continuum of care. Responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-procedure evaluations, managing patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices, providing care for patients undergoing catheter ablations and left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) procedures, and facilitating inpatient admissions and discharges. The ideal candidate will have prior cardiology or electrophysiology experience and be comfortable delivering comprehensive patient care in both procedural and clinical. **Key** **Responsibilities:** - Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and electrophysiology consultations - Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure assessments for patients undergoing electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, device implantations, and LAAO procedures - Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, ECGs, cardiac imaging, and device reports - Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and other electrophysiology-related conditions - Monitor patient progress and identify changes in clinical status, initiating appropriate interventions when necessary - Manage patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders - Collaborate closely with Electrophysiologists, Cardiologists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care - Perform inpatient admissions, daily follow-up evaluations, and discharge planning - Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, medications, and long-term disease management - Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with internal and external healthcare providers as appropriate - Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record - Deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care while adhering to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards - Participate in departmental initiatives, performance improvement activities, and other duties as assigned ### Qualifications **Qualifications** - Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program - Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey - ACLS and BLS certification required - Minimum 2-3 years of Cardiac experience required - Must have excellent communication and computer skills - Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
