If you have a heart for bringing your best to each individual interaction you have, we invite you to join us.** ***At the time of an offer, determination of your rate of pay offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.*** ***This is a Full Time-32 hours per week, every other weekends and alternating holidays.*** ## Requirements Under the direction of the Director of Activities, provides an organized program of activities designed to meet the physical, mental and social wellbeing of each resident. **DEPARTMENTAL EXPECTATIONS OF EMPLOYEE:** - Adheres to Mount St. Rita's Policies and Procedures - Acts as a role model within and outside of Mount St. Rita - Performs duties as workload necessitates - Maintains a positive and respectful attitude - Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload - Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position - Meets Department productivity standards - Adheres to Department dress code **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Plans, organizes and runs a well-organized floor program of both group and individual activities for residents on assigned units. - Carries out recreational therapy techniques for residents both in groups and individually, including Reality Orientation, Sensory Stimulation and exercise. - Counsel and encourages residents to develop and pursue appropriate independent leisure activities. - Plans for and participates in group activities for the entire facility. - Participates in various day trips with residents. - Prepares floor activities as approved by the Director of Activities. - Maintains accurate statistics of each resident’s participation in activities. - Completes an initial assessment of each resident admitted on assigned units. - Documents in quarterly progress notes individual resident's ability to participate in specific activities. - Completes the appropriate sections of the Minimum Data Set. - Works with team members at the Interdisciplinary Care Meetings to develop a care plan for each resident. - Reports any resident's health or behavior problems to the Interdisciplinary team. - Provides a safe, clean, neat environment for residents participating in activities and assumes responsibility for Resident safety during the program. - Deals with accidents efficiently and expeditiously and reports same to proper authorities by completing an Incident Report. - Attends in-service programs as directed. - Informs the Director of Activities of equipment and supplies needed. - Supervises volunteers assigned to their programs. - Reports any problems that interfere with…
