911 Emergency Communications Officer II

**The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Emergency Communications Center (HRECC) is currently seeking experienced 911 Emergency Communications Officer IIs** **to make a real difference, where every call is an opportunity to save lives and have a positive impact on the communities and public safety partners we serve! Interested candidates are encouraged to apply today for consideration.** The Emergency Communications Officer (ECO) II role is is a full-time position with benefits and a preferred hiring range of $23.57 - $25.33 per hour (equivalent to $49,025 - $52,686 annually); however, an exact salary will be determined based upon the selected candidate's qualifications and in compliance with City policy. As an ECO II, your duties will encompass a wide array of responsibilities, including receiving, classifying, processing, and dispatching emergency service calls. For non-emergency service calls, you'll be responsible for receiving, recording, and forwarding them appropriately. Maintaining and preparing computerized and other records and files is also a key aspect of the job.
